Aoli is a term for a flavored mayonnaise.  Typically all Aolis will start with garlic and lemon and your imagination is the limit for the flavoring from there.  Making an Aoli is a simple and tasty way to spruce up a sandwich or canapés.  I have also used a spicy Aoli with Quesadillas that was great. I like a flavor herbaceous flavor  for sandwiches so here is my recipe for Tarragon Aoli:

This is a really quick video I took of a moonrise last year. It has been sped up by a factor of 8 and was taken using a 2600 mm equivalent lens (75 times zoom for a 35 mm lens). The mountain it is rising over is about 40 miles away.

Last week I had a quick look at V.I.K.T.O.R, the anthropomorphized automated editing app that lives on your iPhone, and today it's time to put it to work.

Snapseed is a highly regarded and award-winning photo-editing app for iOS devices. Originating out of image manipulation specialist Nik Software in San Diego, Snapseed is Apple's iPad App of the Year and, after using it for the purposes of this review, I believe it points to the future of image editing.

Now that the holiday weekend is over, there's only one more celebration this year, and that's saying goodbye to 2011 and welcoming 2012 with open arms! For this week's Phone Snap challenge, we'd like to ring in the new year with you and see your best cell phone photo from your celebration. Take a picture right as the clock strikes twelve or show us something that represents what the end of the year and the beginning of another means to you.

Edit on a Dime has made it through its first week, dear readers. As the collection of links and blog posts below make apparent, we're entering into an exciting, dare I say fecund, time for low cost and free editing solutions. We'll have no shortage of apps to try out, argue over and utilize to make some, hopefully great, movies.
