Erno Rubik's Magic Cube is a puzzle that's been frustrating people since its release in the early seventies. Erno's mystifying three-dimensional puzzle cube consists of 6 faces, 26 cubes and 54 stickers of solid colors (traditionally white, red, blue, orange, green, and yellow). The Magic Cube morphed into what is now known as the Rubik's Cube, and is one of the best selling toys on the market today.

In 4.74 seconds, I can barely bend over to tie my shoes, and somehow this guy managed to crush the human world record for solving the Rubik's Cube in that time exactly.

In December of last year, Australian Feliks Zemdegs broke the human world record for solving a Rubik's Cube with a time of 4.737 seconds. Well, this robot did it way, way faster by solving one in under 1 second. Don't tell me a robot takeover isn't real possibility.

Want to solve that pesky Rubik's Cube? Well, look no further. This four-part video will tell you all you need to know about solving it.

Rubik's Cubes are classically frustrating on their own, but what if you want to go that extra mile and make your puzzle impossible to solve?

Robotic Rubik's Cube solvers are nothing new. We've seen ones that are run on Android, made of LEGO Mindstorms, and faster than the world record holder. The most recent Rubik's Cube robot making the news was made by high school student James Watson as a school project, but it's ended up getting a lot more attention than that.

The Rubik's Cube is probably one of the most well-known puzzles, but if the number of articles about how to solve them is any indication, it's also one of the least understood. How many people do you know who actually know how to solve one?

This video shows you how to apply stickers on your Rubik's cube.

The Rubik's Cube, originally called the "Magic Cube," is a mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture, Erno Rubik.

If you've watched our video on solving a Domino Rubik's Cube, you know that asymmetrical Rubik's "Cubes" exist and are readily solvable. If you haven't, go watch that video and come back, because this one is going to teach you how to solve the mother of the domino cube, the 3x3x4 MEGADOMINO (not it's real name). It takes a while and requires some pretty sophisticated Rubik's skills, but if normal Rubik's Cubes are too easy for you go buy one of these!

So, you can solve the Rubik's Cube, good for you, but what about the Square One? Erno Rubik is nothing compared to Karel Hršel and Vojtech Kopský, who invented the Square One puzzle, also called by its full title, "Back to Square One", or its shorter name of "Cube 21". It's shaped like a Rubik's Cube, but it's cut like a freak show, adding that layer of difficulty that challenges you.

Solving the Rubik's Revenge Cube is similar in concept to solving the original Rubik's Cube. You still match colors and replace one piece with another, but there is an added level of complexity. Where the classic Rubik's Cube has fixed centers that determine the color of each face, every piece on the Rubik's Revenge Cube is fully moveable. It is also much more fragile than the original Rubiks Cube therefore requires greater care and precision. If you want to more... just watch and learn.

Okay, you're sitting down, staring at this mess of colors in your hand, trying to make it look like it did when you originally bought it. The Rubik's Cube, my friend, is not as hard as you think it is.

Okay, solving a Rubik's Cube one-handed in 15 seconds is pretty impressive. If you find solving a Rubik's Cube with two hands to be lacking in challenge and flair, try doing solves using only one hand. There is a technique to it, and this video will teach it to you. Basically, you just turn R and U a lot and rotate the cube.

Watch this four-part how to video on solving the 5x5 Rubik's Cube Professor. What, you didn't know they made them that big? Well, they do, and it's called the Professor. The 5x5 monolith.

OK, you've beaten everything from the 2X2 Rubik's cube all the way up to the 6X6. Now it's time to try something different. This video shows how to solve the Rubik's cube Mirror Blocks cube. It's tricky at first but follow the video and figure it out! Don't forget to check out part two of this video

Want to make a Rubik's Cube just like Erno Rubik? Of course you do, but before you start making all of the intrinsic mechanisms of the classic Cube, maybe you should start out a little simpler.

It's time to solve that Rubik's puzzle of yours, but how do you do it? Erno Rubik designed these three-dimensional mechanical puzzles to be precariously difficult, unless you know a little about mathematical algorithms, then it's just a matter of time and determination.

It's time to lubricate your Rubik's puzzle, so how do you do it? Erno Rubik designed these puzzles to be solved, but every once in a while it is necessary to take them apart, either for cleaning, lubricating or for replacing game parts.

This video tutorial is for beginner puzzlers who are getting more advanced in their speedsolving of the Rubik's Cube. When solving the Rubiks Cube, there are these mathematical equations called algorithms, which I'm sure you already know. But wait... what do algorithms have to do with notation? Well, in an algorithm you have a sequence of letters that tell you which sides of the cube you want to turn. Each of the six sides of the Rubik's Cube are associated with a letter and a symbol that tel...

Since its invention in 1974, the Rubik's Cube has become a favorite pastime among geeks, puzzle lovers, and other similarly unique individuals. It is currently available in four basic flavors; Rubik's Mini, Rubik's Cube, Rubiks Revenge, and Professor's Cube. This video tutorial will cover the basic terminology and notation used in solutions for each.

Watch this how to video to figure out how to solve the 4x4 Rubik's Cube Revenge. So, get out your Rubik's or Eastsheen Cube and watch this tutorial.

Tyson Mao is a renowned world competitor in solving the Rubik's Cube. Not only did this Californian become a world class solver, but he also formed the Rubik's Cube Association with fellow speed solver Ron van Bruchem, which holds competitive events for the Rubik's Cube. If you want to learn how to solve the colorful and mighty puzzle, then who better than to learn from then Tyson Mao?

Mods have gone from car parts to British youthful rebels to computer game addons to this. Rubik's Cube mods. Yes, they're here. This video will show you how to modify a standard 3x3 Rubik's Cube so that it will turn and solve much more quickly and smoothly. You will need a dremel, vaseline, and some other tools, but the results are impressive.

Ever hear of a Rubik's Cube, well, did you know that some people can actually solve the mighty puzzle? Yes, that right, they sure can, and so can you... maybe.

Need a little help solving the last part of the Rubik's Cube puzzle? Permutating the last layer could be tricky, and could get you back to square one if you don't know what you are doing, but don't worry, you'll be able to solve that Cube in every possible PLL situation.

Well, there's three parts to this video from Dan Brown on how to solve the bigger Rubik's Cube, the 4x4. Watch it. Learn it. Live it.

NOTE: Chapter One is a demonstration, click on chapter two to learn how to solve the cube. This cool and very smart video teaches you how to solve the popular (and annoying) Rubik's Cube in just five steps. Sounds easy, doesn't it? First, check out this video of Leyan Lo as he achieves the world record for the fastest blindfolded solve. He beat Tyson Mao's record by about 30 seconds, they are both friends.
