Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Video Game was released on Tuesday August 10th for the PS3 (Download only, $9.99). It will be released for the Xbox 360 on August 25th for 800 imaginary points. We spent a few hours yesterday on co-op and single player and here are our initial impressions.
L.A. Noire is the newest Rockstar (GTA4, Red Dead Redemption) game created by Team Bondi ( The Getaway). The game is set in the late 1940’s in Los Angeles. The main character, Phelps, is a war veteran rising through the ranks from police officer to detective. The game is presented in mini episodes (one case per episode) and flashbacks. Once you finish a case, you go straight to the next one. Having played four cases where the character moves from police officer to detective, here are my initi...
These impressions are coming from a person completely new to the Final Fantasy Online world. Never played FF 11 or the FF 14 Beta. This game is not friendly to new people. The account creation is a Kafka like experience in things that don't make sense. For the game itself, the beginning tutorial is awful and does not really teach you the basics of combat. Here is a small breakdown of my opinions, with the good points first so that they don't get overshadowed by the negatives.
Do you have an awesome rig that is able to run anything you throw at it at 60 fps with maximum settings? Prepare to be humbled. The Witcher 2 is the first game in quite some time to tax your system the same way Crysis did when it first came out.
A woman from space that who has been dead hundreds of years has been resurrected on the internet and you're the IT assigned to fight the viruses attacking her. Child of Eden is a mesmerizing musical game, with fluid animations, great game play, and lots of replay ability.
I've been curious to watch one of these famed '3D' games for a while now. Last April at NAB, I attended several 3D panels and folks from ESPN suggested that one of the strongest experiences that would bring 3D into the home would be live sports. I've missed opportunities to watch the PGA Masters broacasts, and NCAA games, but being a hardcore Soccer (Futbol) fan, I've been most excited about this possibility. It did not disappoint, but not without some concessions. I will be as detailed as po...
Spent the weekend with Sprint's new phone, the HTC Evo G4. Specification wise, it's better than Verizon's Incredible and T-Mobile's HD2. Apple will be announcing the new version of their phone this week. If it's comparable to leaked phone shown over at Gizmodo, then to say which phone is better is debatable. The iphone might have a better battery life but the Evo has an unlimited data plan, unlike AT&T's new tier pricing structure.
The first thing someone sees when they start a video game (after the studio cards and legal info, technically) is the start menu. Having an intuitive, attractive one is a great way to affect people's first impressions of you game, in LittleBigPlanet 2 and elsewhere. This video will teach you how to make an awesome two-piece selection menu for your custom game and guide players exactly where they want to go.
What happened to those carefree days in our childhood when we didn't care how we looked and slapped on our mother's makeup, completely out of the lines, drawing and doodling on our face just because it was fun? These days, putting on makeup is all about making impressions. Going to the office? Slap on some neutral, non-intimindating shadow and pretty but not too sexy lipstick. Going to the club? Go a bit smokier with the eyes to try outdo all the other girls there and get the guy.

In this Family video tutorial you will learn how to do a handprint Christmas project with your kids. Paint your kid’s hand with a thick layer of white paint, place it over green construction paper, press it and gently lift it. If the child doesn’t like painting of the hand, you can cut out the outline on white construction paper and paste it on green paper. After the paint is dry, dip a finger of the child in black paint and put an impression on the hand print for Santa’s mouth. Then dip the ...
You know how leaves that fall onto a newly fashioned, wet layer of cement create a beautiful indentation and mold of the leaf that stays on as long as the concrete stays there? Well, you can use a similar method to create concrete decor indented with rhubarb leaves.

First of all you have to arrange for materials like ink blending tool, ink blending foam, some tags to be used as practice surface and a distress ink pad. The tutor advises that you must not use a blending tool like a stamp and never make a lot of impressions using it on any surface. Instead of stamping the ink on the surface like a stamp you have to be careful while using it. Use a blending tool in such a way that the whole ink goes slowly onto the tag. Start by working the blending tool on ...
In this video Andrea Osterkorn demonstrates how to stage your home for sale. It is not a comfortable process to transform your home into a home for sale. The entry way should be inviting because first impressions are important. Closets should be cleaned out. Consider renting different furniture for the living area to make it more open and inviting, and move it around to create an impression of space. Add accessories and let natural light in. Try to depersonalize the room and remove clutter so...
Garden of Imagination demonstrates how to make miniature blueberry polymer clay waffles for use in a doll house. Starting with a small ball of either ecru-colored clay, or pearl-white, you can blend in tiny black glass pebbles to resemble blueberries or raisins. The ball is then pressed onto a small strip of dry-wall tape that has an open weave to it, to make waffled impressions. The strip with the clay on it is run through a pasta-maker at a setting of “four” to flatten the clay into the mes...
In this cardmaking project I make a pretty pink floral card that has embossing and floral embellishments. The items are mainly used from Anna Griffin Floral Impressions card kit, which is a impressive kit full of gorgeous florals and there is more then enough to make over 48 cards with so many embellishments left for other projects.
If preorder delays are any indication, the iPhone X certainly has some buzz. But does the X have the quality to support that buzz in the long run? After all, a $1,000 (or more) iPhone feels more like an investment than a smartphone purchase. The question on any prospective buyer's mind should be, "Is this thing worth it?"

The iPhone X's "notch" is now possibly as notorious as Apple's decision to cut ties with the headphone jack. With that said, a cautious consensus can be made from first impressions of the X that the notch isn't all that bad. Still, one problem has shown up in reviews again and again — apps are not optimized to fit the notch.
The preorder period for the wildly anticipated iPhone X began on Oct. 27, and ever since, it seemed like the wait was going to be long for those who didn't preorder in the first ten minutes. Being part of the wild frontier is amazing. It doesn't take much to blow minds of first time mixed reality users — merely placing a canned hologram in the room is enough. However, once that childlike wonder fades, we need to add more substance to create lasting impressions.

Animoji, short for animated emoji, was a focal point of the iPhone X presentation at the Sept. 12 Apple event. The reactions were split, to be sure, as some considered the attention to this feature on a $1,000+ smartphone to be a bit, well ... too much. As goofy as Animojis may seem at first, the tech behind them is undeniably impressive. In fact, it's possibly the most technically advanced feature of the iPhone X.
Silencing my phone always gives me mild anxiety; while my Android is muted, my girlfriend or boss may be trying to reach me with some urgent news or task. On the one hand, I want to enjoy some peace and quiet, but on the other, I don't want to come back to a phone with 100 missed calls and countless exclamatory texts.
