How to train a cat to use a toilet - really. I could not invent this stuff. When I first saw this video, I knew my life would never be quite the same. This ranks up there with the invention of electricity or the discovery or DNA. Now, I don't need to smell that litter. I don't have to change it. I don't have to buy it in the store anymore.

For any of you who think kitty litter is not a big environmental problem...the United States generates an estimated 8 billion pounds of kitty litter. That ain't good for the environment. Nancy Parker of CoolKarma is dedicated to this particularly innovative eco-friendly solution. For that, she deserves our applause.

Very cool... But i'd like to know how to get them to flush themselves.... I've seen videos about cats that can also use a toilet, but were trained to flush it too... Unfortunately none of these videos were how-to's.

I tried this 15 years ago with a commercial setup. It didn't work then. But now I've got different cats, and your step system to adding water to the bowl is different. I think that's the difference to make it work... I've never seen a sphinx with color points/ He looks great! I've got a Siamese and a Devon Rex. I think I'll get started!!!

DO NOT DO THIS!!!!! Many years ago I had a wonderful, smart cat that I thought this would be a great idea. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! I stupidly followed the directions and what happened was this traumatized my cat so much he refused to use the box. Unfortunately I was living in an apartment and I couldn't keep a cat that peed on the rug and I had to put him to sleep (no one wanted a cat that peed on the rug.)

You have to be very careful with this. Always use two cat boxes while you are training him. If you cat doesn't go in the box on the toilet -- he will never use it. Go back to using the old box and throw this stupid thing away!!!!!
