The Science Cheerleaders are a group of current and former NBA and NFL cheerleaders, all of whom also happen to be accomplished scientists, engineers and doctors.
Founded by former Philadelphia 76ers cheerleader Darlene Cavalier, the squad aims to "get the conversation going, rally the troops, solicit views from all sides and change the tone of science and science policy in this country."
Oh. And to show that scientists can be hot, too.
