It's hot. You're hungry. The power's out.

What to do?

Put the natural sizzle of a hot day to good use. Hey, sometimes the sidewalk really is hot enough to fry an egg. Well, with the help of a little magnification.

To kill the bacteria in an egg, you must raise the heat to 145 degrees Fahrenheit. At 158 degrees, your egg will cook solid.
