For the (anal) artist among us.

This tutorial requires only 15 sheets of paper and scissors. Technically, because of the cutting of the paper, this swan is kirigami, not origami. That said, assembling 471 paper triangles into this beautiful swan is the work of angels.

Enjoy.

I made my first one into a hat for my mum. The process seems daunting, but once you get past the first 100 triangles, time flies!

good luck, mate!

The only fault I can find is making the triangles against a white background. It would be perfect against a darker background.

I wanna try! But, it might take me a few weeks or days... cause I'll be busy with homework! (other than homework... I'll be too lazy Lol.) xD

I cant wait to try this , I do wish it were on a dark background so you can see how the first step is done better , But i don't mean that as a complaint , Thanks so much for posting this ,,

Just finished mine a couple of minutes ago. I made mine at 1/8th of a regular printer paper so it's larger than this one.
Measures about 20 cm high and 10cm wide.

A problem I ran into was that it lost the roundness in the process of attaching new triangles, but this was fixed by just pressing everything a bit harder and adding some supporting triangles which made it blend a lot better. It also made it a bit more compact.

Overall I folded triangles for about 3 days (5 hours a day) while watching tv and chatting on msn. The actuall assembly took about 2 hours since I had some mishaps.

I hope this information helps. :)

Keep the base in the 30's. It's the easiest to work with so try 60(nearly 3k pieces) then 90. Then when you're bored do what i'm doing and make a person instead. You can make nearly anything

Yeah, that was my younger cousin's work. I lent him my account.

But of course I understand that you in fact got no reason to believe that. Thank you for approving me!
