What are percents and decimals? The answer is not too complicated, trust me! Fractions, decimals, and percents are rational numbers representing different parts of the whole. You can recognize a percent by its symbol: % Examples of percents: 50% , 75%, 23%, 100%, 8% … You can recognize a decimal by the decimal point. Examples of decimals: 0.5 , 38.789 , 0.0063 , 902.1 Decimals can be changed to fractions and vice versa.
