Use open hand techniques for fighting

Open hand techniques are the best way to defend yourself and should be your first tactic when called on to strike back. When startled or attacked, your natural instincts are to put our hands up in front of our face. This 'hands up - elbows in' stance protects your vital areas; your heart, throat and head. It also prepares you to deliver a ranges of effective techniques. Many people do not know how to make a proper fist to throw a punch without damaging their own hands. Luckily, it isn't necessary. Here I demonstrate in various speeds, open hand techniques such as scratching, raking, clawing, c-grip, boxing the ears and the thumb gouge.
