Green weed is excellent bait for Luderick / Blackfish and should be finely chopped to use as berley. To rig on a hook, simply twist a length around the line, just above the hook, then twist one side down around the hooks shank, twisting the other side down the shank in the opposite direction. Trim the weed off just below the hooks bight. Found in estuaries, it's usually fine and very long and thread-like. This sea-weed bait can be found on submerged estuarine rocks, breakwalls, wharves, bridge pylons, submerged logs and also over shallow flats that have been left dry for extended periods.
