This video sewing tutorial provides a demonstration for using a universal tape binder on a sewing machine. Use a universal tape binder to bind edges with various widths of bias tape. Set the machine for a chain stitch. Use any size of bias tape. Cut a 45 degree angle on one end of the tape. Feed the cut angle into the guide at the front of the Universal Tape Binder. Pull tape under the foot, extending tape beyond the foot. Adjust the guide opening by screwing until the edges of bias tape are just touching the left side of the guide. Adjust position of the bias guide with the back screw. Lower the needle into the bias tape and check alignment. Readjust guide position with the back screw as needed. Insert fabric edge into the bias tape. Lower the presser foot. Sew first stitches by hand, using the handwheel. Continue sewing, holding fabric in left hand and bias tape in right hand.
