Use a 40mm tape binder on a sewing machine

This video sewing tutorial shows how to use a 40mm tape binder on a sewing machine. Use a 40mm tape binder with a standard presser foot to bind fabric edges with 40mm tape. Set the machine for 2-thread chainstitch. Attach the presser foot and set the lever to A position. Attach the accessory holder base to the sewing machine. Attach the bias binder to the base. Cut a strip of bias tape 40mm wide. Cut one end at 45 degree angle and insert into the bias binder. Check that the fabric is inserted correctly with right side of fabric to the right. Position bias tape under the presser foot and lower needle into bias tape. 2mm (1/8 inch) should be left of needle. Reposition the bias binder attachment if needed. Insert fabric to be bound into a slot between folded bias tape and lower the presser foot. Sew first stitches by hand, using the handwheel. Check that the fabric and bias tape feed correctly during sewing.
