Understand 'sus' and 'add' chords in music

A suspended or "sus" chord is a chord in which the third is replaced or accompanied by either a Perfect fourth or a major second. An "add" chord is when a 9th, 11th, 13th, etcetera is added to a chord. These chords are popularly used in jazz music. This music theory tutorial teaches you how to use "sus" and "add" chords.
