I like your idea...but I thought the cork board method was a bit rough. You can buy cork board cheaply in tiles or on a roll for such use. I have done something similar to what you did here by purchasing the in expenive cork board squares that butt up to one another so neatly that you cannot tell that there are more than one peice used to cover your area. But if you are using what you have laying around the house to save on cost its cool.
