Easily untied after load then the other bowlines, the water bowline also makes the perfect loop in wet or slippery ropes. The extra turn in the standing part gives it additional grip. Different from the double bowline in that the second anticlockwise overhand loop sits under the first loop rather than above it.

Rope knots can basically be divided into the following groups:
