The Pedigree Cow Hitch is an extension of the Cow Hitch in that after the cow hitch has been formed the working end of the rope is passed back between the attached object and the bight. One of the main advantages of this hitch over and above the Cow Hitch is that it retains its strength regardless of the angle of pull. Also slippage is totally eliminated.
