Test and replace your car's throttle position sensor

This video tutorial series will show you how to test and replace your car's throttle position sensor. To service the throttle position sensor (located in the carburetor), first turn off all accessories. Remove the air cleaner and disconnect the electrical leads on the carb. Remove the choke and accelerator pump linkage. Remove the plunger and vacuum lines on the top of the carburetor. Remove the front mounting bolts and air cleaner mounting stud. Remove the air horn and the old throttle position sensor and spring; install new one. Reinstall air horn, reinstall mounting bolts, air cleaner and vacuum hoses, reinstall plunger and pump lever, install choke lever pointing to the rear of the carb and reconnect the electrical leads. Check the sensor setting with a digital voltmeter.
