This video tutorial will show you how to test and replace your car's coolant temperature sensor. For engine coolant temperature sensor testing, first disconnect the sensor wire and attach the red lead of the DVOM (Digital Volt-Ohm Meter) to the sensor terminal. Now attach the black lead of the DVOM to the ground. Set the meter to the 20K scale and observe and record the reading. Run your engine for two minutes and observe and record the reading again. The minimum difference must be more than 200 ohms.
