Health reform is not a Democratic or Republican issue; it’s about fixing what’s wrong, and preserving what works.
Step 2: Respond to false statements
If you see a comment about health care reform on a blog or social-networking site that you know is untrue, respond to it! It’s an easy way to make your voice heard on the web, where inaccuracies can spread like wildfire – especially if they go unchallenged.
Step 3: Write to your local newspaper
When you see newspaper editorials that repeat health care reform falsehoods, write a letter to the editor. Just because it’s an opinion piece doesn’t mean it shouldn’t stick to the facts.
Step 4: Pick up the phone
If you hear radio talk show hosts saying things about health care reform you know aren’t true – pick up the phone! By calling in to the show, you can open their audience’s eyes to the way that some critics of the plan may be twisting the facts.

If you get a chain e-mail that’s spreading hysteria through scare tactics, hit “Reply All,” and set the record straight. Health care reform is simply too important to remain quiet in the face of misinformation.
Fact: Health reform will help older Americans by protecting your choice of doctors and insurance plans, preventing insurance companies from denying coverage because of your health or age, and lowering drug prices for people in Medicare.
