Solder a Deans connector for a radio control vehicle

Solder a Deans connector for a radio control vehicle

This video is on how to install a Deans connector with some basic soldering skills. You will want a good soldering iron for this RC video that can handle a 20W to 60W. For larger applications, such as soldering battery cells, then you will want a 80w to 100w iron. So, buy a good iron the first time or even a soldering gun. I do not use flux, but using flux is fine. It aids in heat transfer. You can also use solder paste, but I prefer the 63/37 solder (or 60/40) as it does not leave a plastic state and can be re-worked more. This video shows the soldering of a LiPo 2s or 3s battery. You can also use this on a normal NiCad or NiMH pack as well.
