Sew on an invisible zipper with invisible zipper foot

Watch this video sewing demonstration and learn how to sew on an invisible zipper using an invisible zipper foot. Mark the length of the zipper on the right side of the fabric and both sides of the opening. The zipper should be at least 3/4 an inch to 1 1/4 inch longer than the opening. Select a straight stitch, a middle need position and stitch length to 2.5 to 3mm. Open the zipper and flatten the coil with your thumb so that the seam line between the tape and coil becomes visible. Place the right half of the zipper onto the right side of the opening, right sides together. Th coil will lie directly on the seam line, starting 5/8 inch to 3/4 inch below the upper edge of the fabric. The zipper end extends 3/4 inch to 1 1/4 inch below the end of the opening. Carefully press the teeth slightly to the righ and lower the zipper foot so the coil lies in the groove to the right of the needle. Starting at the top, sew the zipper in place, stopping at the marked end of the opening. Tie off the end of the seam. Close the zipper. Place the second zipper tape on the left side of the opening, on the right side of the fabric, both coils level. Pin the zipper in place and open. Carefully press the teeth slightly to the left and lower the zipper foot so the coil lies in the groove to the right of the needle. Starting at the top, sew the zipper in place, stopping at the end of the opening. Tie off the end of the seam. Close the zipper. Sew the seam below the zipper, starting at the bottom and working up. Attach the standard zipper foot so the presser foot clamp and foot are right of the center. Move the needle right. Position the bottom end of the zipper toward seam allowances and stitch up to the last stitches of zipper seams. Press the seam open.
