Save money by making your own laundry detergent B 1:37

Brew laundry detergent that cleans your clothes for just three cents a load -- a fraction of what it costs with store-bought detergent.

You will need:

Water
A bar of soap
A cup of washing soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate
A half a cup of Borax
A box of baking soda
Four cups of soap flakes
A covered glass jar

Tip: If you can't find washing soda, buy sodium bicarbonate from a pool supply store. It's the same thing.
