Replace the brake pads and rotors in a Chevy Silverado

Replace the brake pads and rotors in a Chevy Silverado

In this video tutorial series, ASE certified master automobile technician Richard Cottingham and his employee Rolando Hinojosa will demonstrate how to replace the front brake pads and rotors on 2004 Chevy Silverado. He will cover caliper, brake pad and rotor removal and installation, how to retract the caliper pistons, and how to bleed the brakes when finished. He will also cover the tools and parts needed to do the job.

This is a great tool for anybody who needs to replace a few brake pads or rotors. It's very similar to other vehicles, so pay attention you future mechanics.

I thought the video was very thorough and accurate. It takes the fear out of the job for us weekenders. I've changed a number of auto rotors, pads, and calipers, and always seem to have a problem with the pistons. Richards tips will make my upcoming job much easier. Fabulous job and a great video!!.
