How to replace rear sight blade on a Smith & Wesson revolver

Replacing the factory rear sight on a Smith and Wesson revolver is an easy way to improve the sight picture. Larry Potterfield, CEO and Founder of MidwayUSA, details this process using simple hand tools in this GunTec presentation. He starts by turning the windage screw until the windage nut breaks, and then removes both the screw and the nut. Once the sight blade is tapped out of the sight body, a new one is inserted, followed by the windage screw. Now the windage screw is turned into place and the windage nut is staked on. All that's left is to move the sight blade to the center and sight it in.
