Remove a washing machine pump

Remove a washing machine pump

In this video tutorial, you'll learn how to remove a washing machine pump in the service of a repair job. The steps are roughly as follows: Remove the back access panel to gain access to the pump. Lean the machine towards a wall and place blocks underneath it. Ensure it is firmly supported. Place a suitable container underneath the pump to catch any water. Undo the spring clips using water pump pliers. Remove the two retaining screws from underneath and then unplug the connector. Your pump has now been removed. For a video walkthrough through the entire process, take a look.
