Prevent kitchen fires

Prevent kitchen fires

These tips will help you prevent fires and learn what to do if one starts.Cooking grease and oil will ignite very easily and burn rapidly, so it's important to clean up any grease buildup from your stove or oven regularly. Make sure to get the grease around the exhaust fan, too. Always leave a hot pad on the lid or a utensil as a warning to others in the kitchen that this item is hot. Never use water or flour to try to put out a grease fire, as this will make the fire bigger. If it's a small pan fire, use a lid or a bigger pan to smother it. You could also use baking soda or an ABC- class fire extinguisher.
