Practice the Maravich basketball drill the spider

Learn how to improve your game with this basketball drill instructional video. The athlete should begin in a good squat position. Level 1: Start with the basketball on the floor. Have either hand on the ball in front and the other hand on the ball behind, and then switch the hands. Level 2: The hands start in the same position but allow the ball to bounce once. Level 3: The hands start in the same position and then switch hand position without allowing the basketball to touch the floor. As the athletes become more proficient have them catch the basketball “quietly” in their fingertips, and do it quicker.
