How to pinch out growing tips so the coleus will take shape

Once your coleus starts forming branches, cutting and pinching will help fill in the plant. Count up 3 leaf nodes and cut to encourage more branches. Count up 2 leaf nodes are the next branch and continue on up the plant. If stems are thin, it is better to pinch off. Your plant will fill in by doing this and form a unique shape. If a branch sticks out, just cut off.
