Snowboarding: Hit the Slopes With Style

There was a time when simply riding a snowboard made you the extreme guy on the slopes. But now, with more people strapping on a board instead of skis, the stakes have been raised. Fortunately, we've lined up this video tutorial to keep you on the cutting edge. See how to perform a 50-50 on a snowboard.

Trick: 50-50
Difficulty: Easy

1. The 50-50 is one of the first tricks to try when going for rails.
2. You want to be going perfectly straight for the length of the rail (plus 10 feet before and after for proper form).
3. You'll end up landing on the rail, so that your shoulders are pointing toward the end of the rail (as if a spear is directly through your upper body - for stability).
4. Now, relax your body and enjoy the ride.
5. Spot your landing and be ready to have your legs absorb your weight.
