How to paint an accent wall

An accent wall, can help pull a room together. In this how-to video, follow along with the simple directions to add a little bit of color to your room. What you will need: picked color, floor covering, masking tape, roller brushes, paint, small touch up brush, ladder, and a roller pan.

Step 1:
Remove all wall decorations, outlet covers and nails.

Step 2:
Put on some old clothes that you wouldn't mind getting paint on.

Step 3:
Cover outline of wall and doors with the masking tape you bought, this will keep the paint from getting on the borders.

Step 4:
Cover the floor and secure it to the wall with the masking tape.

Step 5:
Start painting. Place paint in roller pan then start painting outline using only one coat.

Step 6:
Allow three hours of drying time before applying your second coat.

Step 7:
After second coat is dry, remove tape and touch-up certain spots that need excess paint

Step 8:
Now go ahead and decorate your walls again with pictures and paintings.
