Origami a cherry blossom flower

Origami a cherry blossom flower

This origami video tutorial shows how to make a cherry blossom flower (okay, technically, cherry blossoms have 5 petals or multiples of 5, and this only has 4). You'll need to start from the bird base.

You Will Need

* 1 square sheet of paper
* pipe cleaner (yellow or white)
* multi-tool (or pliers with wire cutter)
* stem tape (green or brown)

Step 1. Make a square base

Tip: If you know the bird base, skip to step 3. If you only know the square base, skip to step 2.

Step 2. From the square base, make a bird base.

Step 3. Make cherry blossom from bird base.

Fact: Cherry blossoms actually have 5 or multiples of 5 petals… this is technically more like a dogwood flower, but traditionally this fold is called a cherry blossom.

Step 4. Modify your flower.
