Mill custom molding with This Old House

Watch this video from This Old House to learn how to mill custom molding.
Steps:

1. Send a detailed drawing of the desired molding profile to the manufacturer of the molding machine; within 24 hours you’ll receive a set of custom-made molding knives.
2. Install the pair of molding knives into the cutter head of the molding machine.
3. Rip the molding stock to the proper width on a table saw.
4. Crosscut the molding to length on a power miter saw.
5. Turn on the molding machine and feed in the molding stock.
6. Lightly sand the completed molding, then prime and paint, or stain, as desired.
