INTRO VIDEO
This video introduces the topspin tennis forehand progressions series. These videos will build you a fundamentally sound topspin forehand from scratch. If you're able to master the shot we teach in the subsequent five videos, you'll have a technically correct topspin forehand and will be well-position to turn the shot into a major weapon.

VIDEO 2: CONTACT
The first step of the topspin tennis forehand progressions is to play from contact. The racket starts at your contact point and your body is facing the net. From this position, hit the fed tennis ball over the net and follow through.

VIDEO 3: RACKET BACK
The second step of the topspin tennis forehand progressions is to hit starting in the racket back position. The tennis racket should be pointed straight back at the fence. When you swing, there should be NO LOOP in the shot.

VIDEO 4: PIVOT AND RACK
The third step of the topspin tennis forehand progressions is to start in the ready position, pivot and turn your shoulders and get straight into the racket back position, which we worked on in the previous video in this series. There should be NO LOOP when the tennis racket comes back. Focus on the pivot and shoulder turn, and from the racket back position make sure you are rotating your body into the shot.

VIDEO 5: LOOP
The fourth step of the topspin tennis forehand progressions is to start from the top of the loop. The position is very similar to the racket back position except that the tennis racket is angled up slightly. Maybe 45 degrees.

VIDEO 6: FULL MOTION
The final step of the topspin tennis forehand is to hit using the full motion. This forehand will have a basic, no-frills loop and will be technically sound.
