Make your own all-natural face masks

Make your own all-natural face masks

Watch this video tutorial to learn how to make your own all-natural face masks. Tired of spending a lot of money on facial products that don’t even work? Try on some masks made from items you already own—they’re all natural and good enough to eat!

You Will Need

* Canned pumpkin
* Papaya
* A strawberry
* An avocado
* Witch hazel
* A grapefruit
* Sugar
* Yogurt
* Honey
* A peach
* Oatmeal
* Brown sugar
* Milk
* A cucumber
* A banana
* An egg
* A lemon
* A plum or nectarine

Step 1. Think pumpkin and papaya

Pumpkin is loaded with skin-healing antioxidants, while papaya contains an enzyme that dissolves oil and dead skin cells. Mix one cup of canned, mashed pumpkin with 2/3 cup mashed papaya, apply to a clean, dry face, leave on for ten minutes, then rinse.

Don’t have papaya? Pineapple works just as well.

Step 2. Use a strawberry

Strawberries contain alpha-hydroxy acid, which helps slough off dead skin cells, and salicylic acid, which dries up oil that can block pores and cause breakouts. For clearer, brighter skin, simply cut a berry in half, rub on your face, leave for five minutes, and wash off.

Step 3. Use an avocado

Avocados are rich in vitamin E, which is great for moisturizing dry skin. Mash one, add a few drops of witch hazel—which dries oily skin and removes impurities—and apply for five minutes for smoother, softer skin.

Wash your face no more than twice a day; any more than that and you risk stripping the skin of its natural oils.

See the rest of the instructions here.

FACT: Egg whites tighten pores in the skin while lemon is filled with skin-revitalizing vitamin C that can help remove blackheads and blemishes. Separate the egg white from the yolk, add a few drops of lemon juice, and apply for 15 minutes.
