How to make bourbon and branch

Bourbon is America's contribution to the whiskey family, and this isn't so much a drink as it is a tradition. Take bourbon, and ideally, dilute it with water from whatever branch of the local tributary was used to make the bourbon. If you don't have access to that, then use whatever filtered water you can get from the store, and be sure to use it for the ice cubes too.
