Make a sound wave instrument

Make a sound wave instrument

This video tutorial will show you how to make a sound wave instrument from normal, everyday household items. The sound it makes is awesome. It sounds kind of like a church bell. Just follow the steps in the video or the steps below to make your own sound wave instrument.

Equipment

1. Scissors
2. Coat Hanger
3. 2 Plastic Cups
4. 2 Pieces of String, 2 feet - 2.5 feet

Steps:

1. Poke a hole through the bottom of both of the plastic cups.

2. Pull the piece of string through the hole.

3. Tie a knot 2-3 times so the string doesn't come loose of the cup.

4. Do the same thing with the other cup.

5. Tie both pieces of string to each end of the coat hanger.

6. Put the two plastic cups against your ears.

7. Bang the coat hanger against something!
