Make a latex ruffle for fetish outfits

Make a latex ruffle for fetish outfits

Learn how to sew a kinky latex ruffle for your hot fetish outfits.

1. Cut out the skirt pieces
Cut out your pattern pieces as you normally would. In this example we are using Mcalls pattern number: M4582. We recommend for latex garments that you make the finished size of your garment approximately 2 inches smaller than your actual measurements. EG: if your waist is 28 inches, make the waist of your skirt 26 inches. The latex will stretch and this ensures a proper fit. Cut out a waist band from a thicker gauge latex - this gives your garment a more polished and finished look.

2. Glue ruffle to yoke
Once all your pieces are cut out (front and rear ruffle, front and rear yoke, and waist band), glue the ruffle to the front yoke using a 1/4 inch thick seam. Repeat for the rear of the skirt. Trim any excess from the ruffle after gluing it to the skirt yoke. Next, glue the front to the rear, again use a 1/4 inch seam. Lastly, glue your waistband to the top of the skirt.

3. Experiment
Now you know the basics of making a latex ruffle. Experiment and see what other garmets you can use ruffles on - perhaps the collar of a jacket, the bottom of the leg for capri pants, let your imagination guide you!
