technicaly, that is not a crossbow, or any type of bow for that matter, it's more of a slingshot with a trigger ^.^

try putting three feathers at the back of the arrow it will fly longer and more straighter then but u may have to re design the holder for the arrow tho

*sigh* dude rethink your design i made a longbow out of a simple tree branch with a piece of nylon as the string that shot an 80cm piece of dowel with a fire hardened tip 5 times further than that.
