Maintain your RV refrigerator

Check out this instructional RV video that demonstrates how to fix your motorhome refrigerator. Learn what to look for when fixing your RV refrigerator along with simple steps to keep your RV out of the dealership repair bays. Here are a few simple do it yourself repairs that just might save you thousands.

What you want to look for is a small compartment that looks like a vent on the outside of the unit. Common problems with your RV refrigerator are improper cooling. This is caused by a "Dirty Burner Assembly". Next thing you want to do is go back to the Burner and take out the screw and slide the box out. What happens is that when it burns rust fills up inside the fluid, and it falls down on top of the burner assembly. Even though it is lit and still produces heat, it's not enough heat to keep the cooling unit cooling all the way it needs to be. So what you need to do is take some canned air and blow out all the dust and rust in that compartment, tap on the compartment above a few times to get all the excess out as well. Keep repeating that until you see it is all out. Then you can re-assemble the compartment The most important problem that can occur is nothing that you can do to fix or maintain it yourself. So check out this RV tutorial video to learn how to fix and maintain you RV refrigerator.
