Bob meets with Gerry Folan, the plumbing contractor, who demonstrates how all the waste lines come together in a residence and how they exit the home. The PVC waste lines are "tied" together in the basement and then move to a stack. The stack is a vertical run of PVC pipe and then the piping exits the house making sure there is a clean out fitting. Gerry shows how to properly clean and cement (glue) PVC pipes. They also determine that for waste lines to work properly they must have a 1/4" per foot fall.
