Installing the sear in the Beretta is easy. First, put the pin through the right wall of the weapon and then through the sear itself. Drop the sear into its final position and move the sear pin back just a little so the slot for the spring will be clear. When dropping the sear spring into the firearm, try to match the spring coil with the pin holes of the frame. Adjust the spring as needed after it's dropped into the slot. With a narrow object, push down on the coil of the spring and attempt to insert the pin through. When the pin has penetrated, pull the pin all of the way through. Finally, you may test the sear by pressing on the hammer release lever.
