Insert a tampon correctly

Don’t let your period interrupt your life! Learn how to use Tampax Pearl tampons and your period won’t slow you down. Tampax Pearl tampons offer LeakGuard protection and are easy and comfortable to use. Watch this feminine hygiene video tutorial to learn how to insert a tampon, brought to you by Beinggirl.

Most girls will try to use a tampon at some point in their life, so it's important to know how to insert a tampon the right way. It could seem tricky at first, but after trying several times, tampon insertion becomes as easy as putting on a glove. It just takes a little practice.

The key is to RELAX! Worrying about it may make you tense, making insertion even harder. Read the package instruction leaflet carefully, and practice inserting a tampon during your period when your flow is moderate to heavy. The tampon should glide in easily. Lubricating the rounded end of the tampon applicator with a water-based gel for the first few tries can also be helpful. And by the way, don't use a petroleum-based jelly.

Leak-free periods are possible with Tampax Pearl! Tampons provide great, invisible protection by absorbing fluid inside your body so no one has to know you're having your period. They come in different sizes (absorbencies) to use, depending on your flow.

Check out Beinggirl's full instructions.

Tampax Flushable and Compak tampons can be disposed of by throwing them in the garbage or flushing down the toilet. Tampax Pearl tampons can be disposed of by throwing in the garbage or by flushing for most people. However, flushing Tampax Pearl tampons is not recommended for septic systems.
