Giving a speech is much like writing a report or an essay. Do research on your topic and pick out the key points. Don't read your talk but write the key points on notecards. Make eye contact with the audience. It keeps the audience interested. It is very important to speak clearly. Speak louder and slower than what you are use to. Facial expressions are important. Visual aids make a speech much more interesting. Practice your speech in front of friends or family members.
