Fully assemble the Beretta 92FS pistol

Fully assemble the Beretta 92FS pistol

After you have fully cleaned and put back most of the Beretta's parts, it's time to assemble it fully. This video tutorial will show you how to fully assemble the Beretta 92FS pistol.

Check the disassembly latch on your Beretta 92FS semi-automatic handgun. It should be pointing straight down. If not, then press on the button on the other side of the weapon's frame and rotate the latch down. Next, lower the firearm's barrel into the slide. Check the breech position and press on the locking block to drive the locking block plunger out. Insert the recoil spring guide into the recoil spring and place them into the slide. Put your fingers around the slide and spring for safety. With another hand, push and guide the recoil spring rod until it can safely snap onto the locking block of your weapon. From the top, push the rod into the locking block again to make sure it is in all of the way. Be careful because the spring may still fly off. Put your thumb over the hand of the slide, over the recoil spring head for maximum safety. Rotate the slide and align with the rails of the frame. Then, slowly slide them together. Continue to guide the slide until it is half and inch past the frame. Snap the disassembly latch horizontally and let go of the slide. The force of the spring will snap the slide into its final resting place. If you have a magazine inserted with ammunition, then the slide will not move into place. You must remove the magazine, or at least the ammo in it.
