Snowboarding: Hit the Slopes With Style
There was a time when simply riding a snowboard made you the extreme guy on the slopes. But now, with more people strapping on a board instead of skis, the stakes have been raised. Fortunately, we've lined up this video tutorial to keep you on the cutting edge. See how to perform a frontside boardslide to fakie on a snowboard.
Trick: Frontside Boardslide to Fakie
Difficulty: Medium
1. You'll start with an Ollie off the table (jump) landing on the rail at 90 degrees.
2. You'll land on the rail at 90 degrees, but riding backwards.
3. Ride lower to control your center of gravity and to stay up.
4. You'll want to feel your body as it travels toward the rail. If you lean too far in one direction, you'll eat it.
5. As you're coming off of the rail, finish the 180 by rotating another 90 degrees.
6. You'll land riding fakie.
