Why bother?
MS will fix your broken XBOX for free or reimburse your expenses if you paid someone to repair it.. see
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/resources/warrantyupdate.htm

And further links at bottom left of this page.

Do you people not understand that if you do this, your screwing up your motherboad even more!!! Your frying the thing! Why the hell do you think there is a fanon your 360?!?! To keep it cool!
You need to eithersend it into microsoft (if warrenty is still good), or rip it apart, replace the thermal compound on the CPU and GPU, then bond it for 4 minutes, then tighten down the new X-Clamps, then let it sit for 30-45minutes!!! This will permently fix your 360 forever, it will never have the RROD again.... or if your too lazy then go ahead and destroy your motherboad with the towel trick.
Oh, BTW, it all cost me about $25 to fix it on my own. I'm not a computer guy.

or you can fix it easy with washers and new screws the x claps are a pain and this has fix several of my rrod consoles cleaning the cpu and gpu is a good idea seeing as you already have it down to that point and new compond never hurt anything but those steps arent nessicary for repairing the rrod but i will say the e74 code does require those steps for sure.
anyone know anything about this rare e73 and e71 code i really neewd help on these two and actualy i want a real fix not just a temp. please reply to xbox360console.repair@yahoo.com
