Bad relationships don't just "happen". So, in order to fix a bad relationship, you must first look at how you've contributed to the problem as well as accept responsibility for your actions. You’ll come to grips with what you are doing to add to the fighting. Here is my suggestion: write down all the things that your girlfriend or boyfriend has done that you believe are damaging and then write down what you feel you have done to add to the unhealthiness. You will soon realize and understand what you want to change and what you are willing to accept. Nobody’s perfect and after the initial passion has slowed down (which is normal of course) we all need to maintain our relationships in a healthy manner. Remember, there are many reasons we fell in love with this person, so don’t take that for granted by any means. Sometimes becoming too comfortable with your boyfriend or girlfriend can lead to potential problems. Often, we loose sight of all the wonderful things about our partner and just focus on the little daily annoyances. Try not to do that.
