Encode movies for iPod with Automator and QuickTime

Watch this video tutorial to see how to encode movies for the iPod with Automator. This tutorial takes exporting out of the QuickTime Player one step further. First, make sure your Mac OS X operating system in version 10.4.2 or higher, and QuickTime is version 7.0.3 or higher.

New to Apple's Tiger is a powerful application called Automator. This application focuses on removing repetitive tasks by employing workflows and actions that, well... automate a series of steps in other applications and the operating system itself. The QuickTime Player is scriptable, so use Automator to encode movies for the 5G iPod.
