Will the triangle or circular strike be more effective when you aim for the Adam's apple, on the neck? Also, could that punch be fatal? My goal is to only take the attackers breath away for half a minute or so to flee the scene.

I'm sure your not looking anymore Stickman, but if your still around yes the punch could be fatal, but really anything could be fatal. Based on my admitedly limited experience in Hung Gar I think the Solar Plexus might be the best place to strike for your purposes. If I recall correctly it winds the opponent, which would allow you to escape the scene.

It's not a good strike to pick, I have done it and it does work really well. It didn't kill the guy but I now understand that it could, In any case it ended the fight immediately. So what's the downside? People seen it and on their arrival the police were informed, I was immediately arrested and charged with aggravated assault. I wouldn't recommend doing it unless your in a really bad position.
