Do the Basketball Spin pen spinning trick

Learn how to do the Basketball Spin with this pen spinning tutorial.

Pen spinning (or "pen mawashi" in Japan) involves the skillful manipulation of a pen, or similar instrument, with one's hands. Through time, pen spinning has evolved so that it even includes the use of elbows, knees and feet. Pen spinning is a fun way to pass time, but there are also serious competitions on a multinational level. Before you start watching pen spinning tutorials, understand that pen spinning is a skill you cannot just "get" after 10 minutes. Pen spinning takes a lot of time, dedication, and most importantly, practice. Note: you do not need a special pen. A simple pen or pencil will do. However, the longer you spin & the more advanced tricks you do, you may want to use a modified pen or pencil. You can learn how to make modified pens on http://www.UPSB.info. This pen spinning tutorial demonstrates the Basketball Spin.
